Maybe people don't know, but in southern italy, namely Sicily, some old lady does this as a job. I mean today...
The name is "prefiche" which is latin for the more common italian "piangenti"  ("criers"). They are basically payed to cry. They come inside the house of the dead person, gather round the bed where he/she is laying and cry, yell, shout and talk about how good he/she was. It's really a thing, and the more you pay, the longer and stronger the weeping!
It's cool cause it's coming straight from ancient greek culture when this was normal.
Come to Italy! We cry a lot! Just give us money plz! XD
